Danube Shopping Centre

The Donau-Einkaufszentrum (DEZ) is located in Regensburg north of the Danube in the Weichs district. It was built in 1967 by Johann Vielberth as Europe's first fully air-conditioned, two-storey shopping centre and was Bavaria's first large shopping centre when it opened; it has been expanded several times since then.

It is considered a "pioneer" of shopping centres in Germany with the Main-Taunus-Zentrum, which opened in 1964, and is one of the largest German shopping centres.
For the modernisation, the products microControl, emergency and safety bleeding and batteries of the RP Group were installed.
In total, over 450 RP products were installed:
- 250 emergency luminaires from the EE series
- 50 emergency luminaires from the IL series
- 90 escape sign luminaires from the A series
- 8 microControl central power supply system from the MI series
- 4 myControl central power supply system from the MY series
- 70 batteries from the OGIV series
