The group of companies is a pioneer in wireless emergency lighting systems. Reliable emergency lighting solutions in line with the relevant standards, even for design-focused or tough industrial environments, durable battery technology and a coordinated range of photovoltaic products round off the extensive product range. The final elements of our offering are luminaire series for commercial general-purpose lighting and components for smart light and device control. The RP Group supplies products of the highest and certified quality, made, engineered and proven in Germany.

    THE RP SUCCESS STORY

    For over 40 years, the RP Group has provided innovative emergency and safety lighting for optimum levels of safety in buildings. It was all started by Reinald and Roland Pasedag in a small barn in Rodgau near Frankfurt am Main. 
    1981

    FOUNDING OF THE COMPANY

    Reinald Pasedag founds RP-Technik GmbH in a small barn in Rodgau.

    1994

    Saalfeld site

    The production site for power supply systems is relocated to Saalfeld in Thuringia.

    1998

    LED technology

    Shortly after the market launch of the white LED, RP-Technik starts to supply the first emergency luminaires to feature LED technology throughout Germany. 

    2001

    Export of RP luminaires

    RP luminaires start to be exported to the EU.

    2009

    NEW BUILDING + 125 EMPLOYEES

    Completion of the company's new building. Production space grows from 2000 to 5500 m2. RP-Technik employs 125 members of staff in Rodgau.

    2018

    CERTIFIED + AWARD WINNING

    TÜV-certified production. The company is ISO-certified and products are certified in line with ENEC 24.

    Various products receive the German Design Award.

    2021

    INTEGRATION + AROUND 300 EMPLOYEES

    Integration of the partner companies ABM-Notstromtechnik GmbH and Reinhold Sicherheit GmbH. Adoption of the product range from ROPAG GmbH.

     

    The RP Group grows to having 300 members of staff.

    2023

    EXPANSION OF THE PRODUCT RANGE

    Inclusion of a complete, harmonised range of products for photovoltaics.

    2024

    INTERNATIONAL EXPANSION

    Founding of separate RP subsidiaries in Norway and Australia.
