Stade de Luxembourg
The Stade de Luxembourg is a rugby and football stadium near Kockelscheuer in the south of Luxembourg's capital. It replaces the Josy Barthel Stadium, the previous national stadium. The stadium hosted its first match in the new building on 1 September 2021 with the World Cup qualifier against Azerbaijan.
Architectural concept
The architectural design of the Stade de Luxembourg is characterised by clear lines that give the building a high recognition value. This gives the new Cloche d'Or neighbourhood its face. With its timeless design language, the stadium is a landmark for football in Luxembourg.
